I am a writer, an equestrian, and a naturalist. My overarching belief is that humans are better when we understand our connection to the natural world. Whether that understanding comes from prowling about the forest floor on our hands and knees or watching a YouTube video about slime molds from the comfort of our Lazy Boys, I am convinced that we are better when we realize our place in nature and nature's place in ourselves, and I write with this mission.
